ADMISSIONS
Admission is in progress year around however, interested candidate are required to pass an entrance exam following an interview of the learner’s parents. Successful candidates are shortlisted and placed in suitable classrooms.
ADMISSION POLICY
Introduction
Kingsland Islamic Montessori aims to provide high-quality educational experience through a fair and transparent admission system and avoid unfair discrimination on grounds of gender (based on Qur'an and Sunnah), religion or belief. The policy ensures proper admission procedure with respect to each application received for admission. It also seeks to set selection criteria which is transparent, fair and consistent. This policy applies to all parents seeking admission for their children at Kingsland Islamic Montessori.

Admission Prerequisites
Pre-Nursery 2 or 2½ Years to 3 Years
Nursery 3 ½ Years to 4 Years
Kindergarten 1 4 ½ Years to 5 Years
Kindergarten 2 5 ½ Years to 6 Years
Class 1 6 ½ Years to 7 Years
Class 2 7 ½ Years to 8 Years
Class 3 8 ½ Years to 9 Years
Class 4 9 ½ Years to 10 Years
Class 5 10 ½ Years to 11 Years
Class 6 11 ½ Years to 12 Years
JHS 1 12 Years to 13 ½ Years
JHS 2 13 Years to 14 ½ Years
JHS 3 14 ½ Years Years to 15 Years
We conduct admissions on the first come first serve basis and at the availability of our limited seats in the classrooms (maximum 20 pupils in our bigger classrooms) and after an admission test for the higher level of classes. Success in an interview following the Written Test.
Enrolment Procedure
Procedure for admission is as below:
1.Collection & payment for Admission Forms.
2.Submission of Documents.
3.Test and Interview
4.Communication of the result and admission status/waitlist number.
5.Deposit fees.
6.Confirmation through phone call or a text message.
STEP 1: Collection and payment for the admission form:
The applicant (Parent) must come to the school to purchase the admission form.
Cost of Admission Forms - GhȻ10.00
Payment made for admission forms is not refundable.
The Kingsland Official in charge of Admissions, should always find out the following from the parents prior to the sale of the forms;
- The age of the ward
- Is the child already enrolled in school? If yes then the parent should provide the child’s performance from previous school and Transfer certificate.
- The type of employment of the parents or guardian.
- Who will be in-charge of the payment of the child school fees?
- Are they ready to abide by all the rules and regulations of the school?
- Where do they stay? The bus pickup point and time of the child should be communicated to the parent and told that due to the limited movement of transportation pickup point of learners can’t be compromised.
- Parents should be told that, they need to submit a completed admission form before payment of admission fee is made.
Please submit the following to the school.
1.Admission Form Request with complete details, signed by the parent.
2.Photocopy of Birth Certificate
3.one passport size photographs of the child and
4.Parents’ Undertaking” signed by both the parents.
5.Previous year’s Report Card if your ward has ever attended a school.
6.Original School Leaving Certificate (before admission is validated.
7.Parent Evaluation Form
Please note that the admission process will be treated as incomplete if any of the documents mentioned above are not submitted.
STEP 3: Test and Interview
A test will be conducted for the child to understand the needs and the class to place the child. Kingsland reserves the right to make the final decision to place the child in the classroom even though the parent will be consulted on it.
The parent will be informed about the child’s admission status through call and or text message.
STEP 5: Deposit of Fees:
If your child is able to secure admission at Kingsland Islamic Montessori, then you need to pay fully the admission fee or an initial deposit of 70% and the remaining 30% after the 3rd week of admission. Payment can be made through the following outfits;

STEP 6: Confirmation of admission
We will be sending a confirmation sms / email to you once we receive your child’s admission fees and secured deposit.
Selection Criteria
The admission for Primary 1 to Primary 4 will be confirmed only after the assessment tests. These assessment tests are a tool for both the school and the parent to get a genuine assessment where the child stands and if there are any particular areas of weaknesses that need to be focused upon.
Important Points
- Please fill up all the details carefully. The name of child and parents should be as per submitted documents only
- Neither collection of admission form nor its submission is a guarantee of admission to the school.
- Admission form fees are non-refundable.
- The school will not ask for any donation for granting admissions
- The school does not allow interference in running its administration.
- Any recommendation or any influence brought from any outside source to secure admission will lead to immediate cancellation of admission.
For already issued forms: If fees is not submitted within the new given deadline, the form will stand cancelled. The parent is welcome to come back and fill up the form as per availability of seats and follow the same procedure as any other parent. However, they will be given lower priority than an altogether new parent, if there’s an issue of seat availability.
