The desire of the management team of Kingsland Islamic School Complex is to love each and every learner passing through Kingsland Islamic School Complex to leave an indelible mark in the society. Kingsland Islamic School Complex aims and building the character of the learner, inspiring excellence in its life and having a good moral aims in his or her daily activities aside helping our learner’s memorize portions of the Qur’an.
Even though, Kingsland Islamic School Complex is a very young institution which started operating in 2019 we have a very encouraging number of professional qualified teacher’s due to our believe in professionalism. With this, your wards are assured of quality Islamic and formal education.

Transportation policy
Transportation is key to our operations as a school since good number of our pupils are living a bit far from the school. To enable the school to transport the pupils and staff to and from school the transportation policy has to be adhered to. The items below have to be adhered to.
  • The buses convey only Kingsland Islamic School Complex Islamic School Complex pupils and staff.
  • The bus does not convey parents.
  • The driver should not communicate on phone while driving.
  • The driver obeys all Ghana road traffic rules such as possession of a valid Ghanaian driver's license, using correct follow distances etc.
  • No eating of food on the bus.
  • No use of foul language on the bus.
  • No one should stand in the bus while the bus is moving.

                                             SCHOOL FEES POLICY
POLICY STATEMENT
To provide clear guidelines regarding the payment of school fees and to outline the process for recovering school fees not paid. The aim of this policy is to ensure a robust, non-discriminatory and fair approach to the payment of school fees.

PAYMENT OF FEES
Management will communicate the school fees structure for each term to parents/guardians at the end of the term preceding the term due payment.
For new admission, full school fees payment should be done before admission is granted.
Minimum 70% of the full fees for continuing learners each term are due and payable by the end of the first week of resumption of school.
The remaining 30% should be completed by the Middle of the term.

INSTALLMENT ARRANGEMENT PLAN
An agreement by the school to accept payment of fees by instalments is concessionary and will be subject to separate agreement(s) between the parents and the School.
Any agreements (payment plans) will be confirmed in writing and signed by both parties.
If parents have entered into a payment plan with the school and more than one payment is missed, then the school reserves the right to request the full amount immediately.
If instalments are missed and/or paid late then Trustees will be notified of the amount owing and details of the missed/late payments. Appropriate action, which could include exclusion, will then be taken.
LATE PAYMENT
Failure to pay 70% of the full fees by the end of the first week of resumption of school will be termed late payment.
If after the third week of resumption of school, 70% of the total fees are not paid, the learner will be denied access to the school.
If a debt rises to an unacceptable level, the school reserves the right, in extreme cases to exclude the pupil on three days' written notice if fees remain overdue for payment.
If a learner is excluded for a period of 28 days, he / she will be deemed withdrawn without notice and a term's fees in lieu of notice will be payable immediately by the Parents.
The parents shall also be liable to pay all costs, fees, disbursements and charges including legal fees and costs reasonably incurred by the school in the recovery of any unpaid fees regardless of the value of the school's claim.

FEES INCREAMENT
Fees are reviewed by the Management Board annually and maybe subject to increase from time to time.

UNIFORM POLICY
The school shall provide Learners with three uniforms at a fee.
The dress code for learners in the week will be;

MALES
Mondays – Tuesdays;  neatly ironed clean white shirt, blue black shorts with white socks
Wednesday and Thursday;  neatly ironed clean stripes shirt, blue black trousers with blue socks
Friday:  White jalbaab and white net hat

FEMALES
Mondays – Wednesdays     neatly ironed clean white shirt with blue black cross back and white socks
Thursdays and Thursday - Neatly ironed clean stripes shirt and trousers with blue socks
Friday -  Females: black abaaya and a white veil.

Learners in Classes below KG2, will be given a play dress to be used in school. Parents will be required to clean the play dress and keep it in the learner’s bag each day to be brought to school.

NON COMPLAINCE
Failure to comply with the Kingsland Dressing standards (cleaned and ironed dress for the day) will lead to the ward being denied access to the school.
SCHORLARSHIP FOR NEEDY BUT BRILLIANT LEARNERS
The school 50% discount to full scholarship to orphan leaners who are needy and have little or no financial support for their education.

HOME WORK POLICY
Homework is considered to be a valuable element of the learning process. The implementation of this policy we aim at
At Kingsland Islamic School Complex , a lots of home assignments are given to learners to take home especially on Fridays

Homework should be set to achieve the following;
  • to involve parents in their children’s learning
  • to help parents keep abreast of what their child can and cannot do;
  • to take advantage of the home context to apply learning;
  • to encourage children to talk about their work to their parents and explain what they are doing and how;
  • to extend the time for learning, thus enabling children to practise and consolidate their skills and knowledge and strategies
  • to prepare children for secondary school experiences of homework;
  • to view learning as a life long process and not just restricted to school hours.
The school’s agreed practice for homework is that:
  • homework is set on a regular basis, for all years, in line with our homework policy;
  • homework will generally follow on from work which has taken place in class but may take many different forms, including reading, learning multiplication facts and spellings. It should not entail new ideas that require explanation from a teacher;
  • homework may sometimes consist of preparation for work yet to be done;
  • children should understand exactly what they are expected to do, how to do it, and how long it should take;
  • homework should sometimes involve the participation of the parents;
  • children who have made insufficient effort during class time may occasionally be asked to complete work at home.

At Kingsland Islamic School Complex, cleanliness of our surroundings, classrooms and learners are elements of concern to us. Our place are always clean and serene-a wonderful sight to behold and our classrooms and washrooms are neat.

OUR KITCHEN
Even the importance and implications of healthy meals to our learner’s mind, body and soul relate to academics. Every kitchen staff undergoes a through healthy screening to ascertain the state and conditions of our cooks prior to being employed. The school provides healthy breakfast, snacks and lunch.
